Course Description

The AIARE Level 2 Avalanche Safety Course is a 4-day course designed to build and expand upon the foundations of avalanche safety taught in the Level I curriculum by introducing snow metamorphism, guidelines and recording standards for weather, snowpack and avalanches, testing techniques and data interpretation.

Students can expect the following topics to be presented during the course:
