Come join Crested Butte Mountain Guides for a unique and exhilarating experience climbing a frozen waterfall. Our certified guides will provide the equipment and teach you the basics of ice climbing techniques, belaying, rappelling, and safe climbing procedures. Come for two or three days, or customize your own trip. We will progress to steeper ice with the opportunities to learn about lead climbing, ice proctection, ice anchors, and the possibility of climbing a multi-pitch waterfall.

The Ouray Ice Park offers hundreds of climbs from beginners to expert all within a five minute walk. This is the ideal place to learn to climb or to improve on your technique climbing steep waterfall ice. The Ouray Ice Park was opened in 1995 as the world’s first ice climbing park.
